It's all a Juggling Act!

Starting Weight 294.3
Current Weight 278.4
Total Lost 15.9 lbs
Weight to Go 81.4 lbs
Distance Walked 73.5k

It all comes down to making choices I guess. With the new job and all I have worked 5 shifts and all of them started at different times and at 4 different locations. It's really hard to stick to a schedule when you can't make one. All becomes normal next week and I can start to plan.

It's very difficult to wrap your head around the fact that you have to eat more to lose weight. The only thing I had success with previously was Atkins, and watching how much you ate was of course a very important aspect of it. With this new way of eating, I understand that I have to keep the furnace fueled or it will slow down and fight me every step of the way. Breakfast is now a good cereal, oatmeal if I have time; with fruit and a protein shake. I have a snack, a fairly big lunch with fish, or chicken and rice or potatoes or a wrap, another snack in the afternoon and a dinner of chicken or meat, potato or rice and a veggie. Another protein drink around 8 or so. I still have a glass of wine, one a night, that's it. This is still way more than I usually ate, but for far better food. I haven't touched a french fry since Jan 3rd and though I still stop at Mickey D's every morning for my coffee and paper, I have had no fast food this year. The two times I got stuck without planning, I stopped and bought sushi, which seems to be a wise choice.
Cath and Dallon have incorporated some weight training for both Adele and I. (She's doing great by the way). Light weights aimed at increasing our metabolism and adding definition rather than bulk. I definitely do not need more bulk. A little stretching, some forms of curls and squats and lunges and some cool down stretches, seems to work.
